Position: Costing Manager (Automotive)

Location: Clinton, TN (relocation assistance provided)


This is a Direct-Hire Position paying between $120,000–$140,000 per year depending on the level of experience.


General Description

We are partnering with a global automotive parts manufacturer to hire a Costing Manager. This position will support the Automotive Division in cost analysis and financial reporting for automotive products and commodities. This role is responsible for evaluating product and part costs, analyzing cost structures, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. The Costing Manager will play a key role in a newly established team and work closely with plant leadership to drive informed business decisions.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report product and part costs for both current and new products.
  • Develop and maintain detailed cost structures.
  • Provide financial analysis including expense breakdowns, forecasting, and efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to support pricing strategies and business model recommendations.
  • Prepare periodic cost reconciliation reports, including labor and supply cost tracking.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.


Requirements

  • 10 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in standard costing, activity-based costing (ABC), and inventory management.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience (Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier environment preferred).
  • Experience working with OEM customers and automotive BOM structures.
  • Demonstrated career stability with consistent tenure in prior roles.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP principles.
  • Experience with cost-benefit analysis and financial reporting.
  • Thorough knowledge of cost accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Korean language proficiency is a plus but not required
