Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Assist providers during patient visits (in-person and virtual support)
- Manage patient intake, documentation, and chart updates in EMR/EHR systems
- Coordinate lab orders, referrals, and follow-ups
- Perform basic clinical tasks (as permitted by certification and state guidelines)
- Handle patient communication, appointment reminders, and check-in/check-out processes
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use
- Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or relevant experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in family medicine or behavioral/mental health
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Familiarity with telehealth workflows
