Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate intake and documentation of patient information.
- Collect vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assist clinicians in patient assessments.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures including medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols when necessary.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordinate referrals for specialty care such as dermatology or geriatrics.
- Support clinical staff with tasks like ICD coding for diagnoses, updating medical records, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, Prior Authorizations, Referrals and other clerical tasks.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally, providing clear information about procedures, clinic policies, and next steps for care.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety standards for inpatient and outpatient settings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and hospital medicine practices.
- Experience working in the clinical setting.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions including intake processing and ICD coding.
- Familiarity with diverse medical specialties including urgent care, Primary Care, Aesthetics, and Wellness.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration support, injections, and phlebotomy.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and hospital experience that enhances responsiveness during critical situations. Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
