Design-Build Firm: Project Architect / Architectural Designer

dcb is seeking a talented Project Architect, Senior Project Architect or Architectural Designer to join our design studio.

We are a Denver based fully integrated design-build firm serving a wide range of commercial and industrial markets along Colorado’s front range. About The Role

This person will be a contributing teammate on projects from concept to construction completion and should possess the ability to conceptualize and develop the design through the different stages of a project. Strong graphic communication skills in both presentation and production drawing formats are paramount. This person should also possess a solid understanding of construction methods and detailing while demonstrating an eagerness to learn, strong listening and communication skills in collaboration with clients, consultants and other team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial architecture, 10 years for a senior position
• NAAB accredited bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture
• Licensed (or pursuing license) in Colorado
• Experience in Revit, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with Lumion, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365 Suite, Microsoft Project a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a wide range of environments including with clients of varying types, with the ability to listen and help determine their program requirements and overall project vision
• Strong programming, design and problem-solving skills
• Excellent graphic communication skills. Rendering skills a plus.
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Highly collaborative with an understanding of big-picture goals blending the execution of design excellence, budget and timing
• A strong understanding of evolving materials and methods used in the construction industry and proficient in technical detailing
• Experience working with jurisdictions to effectively gain positive traction on projects
