Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking a Youth Robotics Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on robotics classes for elementary students in Antioch. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is excited to introduce them to robotics, engineering concepts, and simple programming through fun, interactive lessons.
Students will use age-appropriate robotics kits such as LEGO Robotics, Sphero, or similar tools to build, explore, and problem-solve in a supportive and exciting learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead robotics lessons for elementary students using beginner-friendly kits and activities.
- Teach basic engineering, building, and coding concepts through structured, hands-on projects.
- Guide students as they design, build, test, and refine their robots.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to participate.
- Adapt instruction to different ages, skill levels, and learning needs.
- Communicate with site staff and program coordinators to ensure smooth class operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching or working with children (elementary age preferred).
- Familiarity with robotics kits such as LEGO Robotics or Sphero (preferred).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and flexible after-school availability Monday–Friday.
- Must pass a background check and complete required onboarding.
Program Details:
- Location: Antioch, CA
- Hours: 1–2 hours per week
- Schedule: To be finalized, must have reliable and flexible availability during after-school hours, Monday–Friday
- Start Date: January 2026
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
