Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy is seeking a Substitute Gymnastics Instructor to step in and lead safe, engaging gymnastics classes for elementary students in Pinole. This is an on-call position, ideal for someone with experience in gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, or youth movement who can confidently lead a class when coverage is needed.
You will guide students through beginner-friendly skills such as balance, stretching, coordination, and basic tumbling, all while maintaining a positive, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Step in to lead gymnastics classes when the regular instructor is absent.
- Teach foundational gymnastics skills appropriate for elementary students.
- Demonstrate safe techniques and provide supportive guidance.
- Maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive class environment.
- Ensure all movement activities follow proper safety protocols.
- Communicate with site staff and program coordinators when covering a session.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, or similar youth movement programs.
- Strong understanding of student safety and foundational techniques.
- Comfortable leading a class independently on short notice.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and flexible after-school availability (Monday–Friday).
- Must pass a background check and complete required onboarding.
Program Details:
- Location: Pinole, CA
- Hours: On-call | Approximately 1–2 hours per week when covering
- Schedule: Varies, must have reliable and flexible availability Monday–Friday during after-school hours
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
