Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dependable LEGO Robotics Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on robotics and engineering sessions for students in grades K–8. In this role, you will guide students as they design, build, and program robots using LEGO kits, helping them strengthen foundational STEM skills while nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Instruction: Facilitate weekly 60-minute LEGO Robotics sessions using a structured curriculum and provided materials.
- Guide Learning: Support students step by step through the building and programming process, providing clear instruction and encouragement.
- Create a Positive Environment: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where students feel supported and inspired.
- Foster STEM Skills: Encourage curiosity, collaboration, persistence, and critical thinking during hands-on activities.
- Coordinate with Staff: Communicate scheduling updates, classroom needs, or student progress with program coordinators.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience working with children in educational, recreational, or enrichment settings.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with LEGO robotics kits and basic coding concepts.
- Instructional Skills: Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Reliability: Punctual, consistent, and adaptable to schedule changes when needed.
- Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for STEM education and inspiring young learners through robotics.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
