Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks.
- Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification for patients prior to appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. .
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts or issues.
- Maintain organized records of appointments and communication
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred; familiarity with medical scheduling is essential.
- Proficiency in EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
