We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical knowledge, excellent patient service skills, and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Prior experience working in a DME company would be beneficial. The Clinical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, assisting with patient referrals, ordering CPAP's and in lab sleep studies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Work with insurance companies to get prior authorizations for sleep studies.
- Provide exceptional patient service.
- Schedule appointments for patients to pick up home sleep testing devices.
- Collaborate effectively within physicians, advanced practice providers as well as other members of the team.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in an out patient medical practice.
- Experience working with EHR systems, our system is eClinical Works.
- Strong patient service skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
