Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from appointments, shopping excursions, Life Enrichment activities, and other outings
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, including the interior and exterior
- Ensure all passengers are safely buckled in their seats while transporting
- Complete routine maintenance and upkeep tasks on vehicles as assigned
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel purchases, and vehicle maintenance
- Report accidents and incidents to proper authorities when necessary
- Understand and adhere to protocol for reporting accidents and incidents to proper authorities
- Maintain a safe and alert manner while working
- Ensure all passengers are safely transported in accordance with safety regulations and protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety of the residents
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
