As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and coordinating activities, social events, and group activities that stimulate and engage their cognitive levels.
Responsibilities:
- Encourage and assist residents in functional, social, and recreational activities under the direction of the Activity Director
- Function as a team member and foster good interpersonal communication skills within and between departments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents in your care
- Assist in planning and coordinating activities, social events, and group activities
- Engage residents in various cognitive activities, such as puzzles, games, and arts and crafts
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Long Term Care experience preferred
- CPR Certified
- Certified as an activity assistant preferred
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including some holiday and weekend hours
