Composites Sales Account Manager
Advantage Technical is seeking a Composites Sales Account Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients. This position will be responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with key customers within the composites industry, driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting long-term customer partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales and account management, along with experience working with composite core materials, advanced composites, or related high-performance materials. Experience supporting aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-performance markets is highly valued.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Understand customer business strategies, technical needs, and upcoming opportunities to identify areas for growth.
- Drive sales by presenting company products and services as solutions to customer requirements.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities involving composite core materials, including carbon fiber, fiberglass, and advanced polymers.
- Expand existing accounts and develop new customer relationships to support revenue growth.
- Develop a strong understanding of products, applications, competitive advantages, and industry trends.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Provide product, service, technical, and engineering information in response to customer requirements.
- Address and resolve customer questions and issues related to products and services.
- Develop sales forecasts and manage the sales pipeline.
- Prepare sales and engineering reports by analyzing sales information, market activity, and application trends.
- Assist with business proposals, quotations, and customer presentations.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other internal teams to support customer requirements and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate account activity, forecasting reports, and business transaction records.
- Report sales progress and achievements to management.
- Monitor industry developments, competitors, and market activity to identify new opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other related projects as needed.
- Travel as required to support customers and business development activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in sales management, technical sales, account management, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience working with composite core materials or advanced composites.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management and business development.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and proposal development abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and customer requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with customers or applications in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-performance composites markets is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000–$155,000
- Direct-hire, full-time opportunity
