What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at Advantage Technical?
Location: Newington, NH
Pay Rate: $65,000-$70,000 annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Perform general building maintenance, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and ceiling tile replacement
- Maintain facility grounds through landscaping, snow removal, and seasonal property upkeep
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs
- Move equipment, furniture, and materials as needed
- Coordinate with and oversee outside service contractors
- Support facility projects, office reconfigurations, and workspace setups
- Assist with supply ordering, utility tracing, measurements, and facility improvement initiatives
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure compliance with all safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Ability to read building-related blueprints and drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills required; AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, and work indoors and outdoors
