Composites Sales Account Manager
Location: Torrington, CT (Candidates from surrounding Connecticut, New York, and Berkshire regions encouraged to apply)
Pay: $90,000 - $160,000
We are seeking an experienced Composites Sales Account Manager for a temporary assignment supporting a leading manufacturer in the advanced materials industry. This role is responsible for growing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and driving sales within the composites market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Identify new business opportunities within advanced composites, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and engineered materials markets
- Develop sales strategies to increase revenue and expand market presence
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and product discussions
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
- Prepare quotations, proposals, forecasts, and sales reports
- Resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Partner with engineering, production, and internal teams to support account success
- Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, and forecasting data
- Travel as needed to support customers and business growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related field
- 5 years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in composites, advanced materials, manufacturing, or related industries
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience serving aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-performance manufacturing markets is a plus
