What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Vision Engineer position at Advantage Technical?
Pay Rate: $42.00 - $53.33/hour
- Develop and test digital technology solutions, including vision inspection systems, AI applications, and machine/sensor data analytics.
- Analyze manufacturing challenges and customer needs to identify technology-driven solutions.
- Support IoT strategy development, implementation, and roadmap execution.
- Research emerging technologies and evaluate future manufacturing applications.
- Apply machine learning and analytical processes to support proof-of-concept and production-ready IoT projects.
- Interpret machine data to evaluate equipment health, performance, and product quality impacts.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing controls, embedded systems, network design, machine learning, or data engineering (automotive manufacturing experience preferred).
- Knowledge of PLC controls and manufacturing systems, including Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Siemens, or Omron.
- Experience with computer vision algorithms including segmentation, morphology, calibration, image enhancement, feature extraction, classification, 3D vision, and deep learning.
- Programming experience with C , Python, HALCON, Matrox, Cognex, and/or Keyence.
- Experience with vibration, audio, or current signature analysis preferred.
