The position involves fabricating stairs, railings, and custom metal components using a variety of metals and fabrication techniques.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform layout, measuring, and marking of materials for fabrication
- Cut, bend, shape, fit, and assemble metal components using fabrication tools and machinery
- Fabricate stairs, railings, and custom metal structures to customer specifications
- Work with various metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Perform welding as needed to complete fabrication and assembly processes
- Operate fabrication equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Qualifications
- Prior experience in metal fabrication required
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Experience with layout, measuring, cutting, fitting, and metal assembly
- Ability to fabricate custom stairs, railings, and structural components
- Welding experience preferred (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick)
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment and metalworking tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable work ethic
