We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join various metals according to industry standards such as ASME codes & standards - Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and ductwork
- Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure components meet specifications
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing floors
- Fabricate custom parts by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling metal pieces in accordance with project requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of fabrication processes in industrial or commercial settings
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering, and
welding techniques - Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations for measurements and estimations
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, pipe threading equipment, and machining tools
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation basics, mechanical systems, pipe installation including threading and assembly
- Ability to work with sheet metal fabrication including ductwork manufacturing in compliance with industry standards
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects
