Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated local routes.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring accuracy and care.
• Deliver freight your service area while maintaining schedule integrity.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and inspection reports for each shift.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
• Follow all safety protocols related to driving, load securement, and handling specialized equipment like dump trucks or tanker trailers.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions & automatic in a commercial driving environment.
• Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with freight that requires load & unload procedures.
• Skilled in route driving with an understanding of local traffic laws and safety standards.
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus for handling certain types of freight loads.
• Strong attention to detail for inspection processes and documentation compliance. Pay: $0.63 - $0.65 per mile
