Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults accurately.
- Conduct welding (including
welding) and fabrication tasks to repair or modify machinery components as needed. - Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians’ tools, and high voltage systems safely.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and control system documentation to support maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with field service teams and provide technical support for customer service requests related to equipment performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar manufacturing facility environment with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, including hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and low/high voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and record keeping.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of schematics, control systems, and analysis skills necessary for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions.
- Additional assets include military background, industrial electrician experience, or technical sales experience related to manufacturing equipment.
