What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Addison Group?
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team 2 days a week in the office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting with month-end close processes, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist with preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation
- Prepare journal entries and ensure appropriate documentation
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation
- Help identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and global offices
Qualifications
- 1–4 years of relevant accounting experience, including internships or co-op experience
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Salary : $38 - $45
