Job Title: Sr. Accountant

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Eden Prairie, MN (Hybrid schedule with weekly onsite presence required in Minnesota, only local candidates will be eligible)

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00 / Hourly / Dependent on applicable experience

We’re partnering with a respected healthcare organization in the Twin Cities that’s looking to bring on a Senior Accountant for contract support. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, supporting a close process, and stepping into a team where accuracy and collaboration truly matter.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in month-end close activities, support financial reporting, and help keep accounting operations running smoothly during a period of increased demand. If you’re someone who thrives in a structured environment but still enjoys variety in your day, this role could be a strong fit.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end and period-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Support audit requests and documentation
• Partner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financials
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of accounting experience, ideally at the senior level
• Strong experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• ERP system experience required
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
