Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator
Location: Cranston, Rhode Island
Job Type: Full Time | Exempt
Compensation: $100K to $110K (dependent upon candidate experience)
Benefits: The position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, plus annualized bonus (bonus will be based on experience and will be negotiated based on KPIs outlined by owner)
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for providing end user support, analyzing, configuring, designing, implementing, managing and monitoring the organization’s server and network systems. The Systems Administrator will work as part of a team to monitor and maintain systems in a highly available production environment and have a proven history of using administrative tools, assisting staff and performing advanced administration tasks. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Microsoft operating systems and related software and hardware technologies as outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential functions” are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodations made by the employer.
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including databases, servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Monitor the performance and availability of the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum up time and optimal performance.
- Manage the organization's backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Manage and maintain the organization's virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere.
- Monitor and manage the organization's Intune mobile device management and CrowdStrike EDR environments.
- Work with IT team members to plan and implement IT projects and initiatives.
- Manage the organization's AWS infrastructure, including all EC2, S3, and RDS instances.
- Manage company MySQL databases, provide database changes as required and produce reports on an as needed basis.
- Maintain the ConnectWise Automate environment for remote support and patching of end user workstations.
- Travel between the organizations multiple office locations to perform various IT related tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in role supporting infrastructure including but not limited to VMware vSphere, Veeam, AWS, Azure, Active Directory, Windows server, CrowdStrike.
- Three years’ experience in database management. Microsoft SQL or MySQL preferred.
- Strong technical skills in IT infrastructure management, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Proficient with administering Microsoft Intune, O365 Email, Entra AD, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
