Our client is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. This role supports the financial operations of multiple locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close activities. The Senior Accountant will partner closely with operational teams and leadership to maintain financial integrity and provide meaningful reporting that supports business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 7-10 residential properties
- Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Review and approve cash disbursements for assigned locations.
- Prepare operating statements and financial reports for assigned business units.
- Develop financial reporting packages for owners, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
- Analyze financial results and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Support and guide operational teams with accounting-related questions and financial reviews.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements, reconciliations, and other accounting initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
- Experience with Yardi
- CPA a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
