Job Description:
The Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout the lifecycle of personal injury cases, including high-exposure and catastrophic injury matters. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities and contributing to case strategy from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management from initial intake through trial preparation and settlement
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Review, organize, and create summaries of medical records and supporting documentation
- Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
- Manage electronic filings within Pennsylvania court systems
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, healthcare providers, and opposing counsel
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting civil litigation matters
- Background in personal injury or catastrophic injury cases strongly preferred
- Plaintiff-side experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Filevine and Pennsylvania e-filing systems is highly desirable
- Strong drafting, document management, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Pennsylvania court procedures and legal terminology
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
- Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree required
