Temporary Senior Cost Accountant (Cost Accounting – Manufacturing) | Immediate Need
Location: City of Industry, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: $50–$60/hour (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Temporary Senior Cost Accountant with strong cost accounting experience to support our manufacturing operations in the City of Industry. This role requires someone who can quickly step in, work independently, and handle both general accounting and cost-related responsibilities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, understands inventory and cost structures, and can contribute immediately with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Perform cost accounting activities, including:
- Inventory valuation and analysis
- Standard cost updates and variance analysis (labor, material, overhead)
- Analyze manufacturing variances and provide insights to operations/finance teams
- Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts and subledgers
- Assist with bill of materials (BOM) review and cost accuracy
- Track and monitor production costs and margins
- Partner with operations and production teams to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support ad hoc reporting and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5 years of accounting experience, with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Inventory accounting
- Standard costing and variance analysis
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Ability to work onsite in City of Industry
- Available to start immediately
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally
