The position involves managing financial close processes, ensuring full account reconciliations, analyzing budget variances, and supporting the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. This role partners with operational leadership on budgeting, supports external audits, evaluates internal controls, and performs high-level financial analysis. This role may also provide hands-on accounting support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Review financial results and analyze variances against budget and forecasts
- Lead financial reviews with senior leadership, clearly presenting key insights
- Ensure accurate account reconciliations across all assigned locations
- Monitor cash flow forecasts and ensure appropriate funding strategies are in place
- Track and report on key financial and operational performance metrics (KPIs)
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements
- Support hiring efforts and participate in interviews for finance roles
- Train and mentor accounting staff and finance managers
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance
- Assist with external audits and internal financial reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience; additional experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with multi-location or multi-entity environments preferred
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and close processes
- Proficiency in accounting and financial systems
- Experience with budgeting and financial planning
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
