Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Gainesville, VA
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 (depending on qualifications)

Qualifications:
- 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven experience processing multi-state payroll.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, withholdings, and compliance requirements.
- Experience handling garnishments, wage attachments, and related legal requirements.
Job Description:
- Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including timely filing and payment of payroll taxes.
- Manage employee garnishments, levies, and child support orders, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with prevailing wage laws (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act).
- Review and validate timesheets, job cost allocations, and labor distribution across multiple projects.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and audit trails in the payroll system.
- Coordinate with HR and accounting teams on employee onboarding, terminations, and benefits-related deductions.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with audits, including internal, external, and governmental payroll audits.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
