About the OpportunityOur client, a rapidly growing organization in the Chantilly, VA area, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their team. This newly created role, elevated from an HR Specialist position, is a key addition as the company expands. The HRBP will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, driving people-related initiatives, supporting employee relations, and contributing to long-term organizational success.
You will be joining a small but highly focused HR team that values professionalism, collaboration, and results. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a background in federal government contracting who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with leadership to support organizational goals through HR strategy and best practices.
- Serve as a point of contact for managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies and employee relations.
- Lead or support HR initiatives, including performance management, workforce planning, and compliance-related projects.
- Conduct onboarding and new hire orientation, ensuring a smooth and professional employee experience.
- Assist with recruiting efforts for key talent, including job design and compensation structuring.
- Act as project manager for HR-related initiatives, events, and special assignments.
- Support HR operations such as reporting, documentation, and maintaining employee records.
- Contribute to the development and execution of departmental goals and objectives.
- Experience: 5–8 years in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist role. Prior experience in federal government contracting is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Deltek is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Familiarity with HRIS/ATS systems.
- Soft Skills: Professional demeanor, even-tempered personality, strong organizational abilities, and polished communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in place of degree requirements.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours per week).
- Hybrid Model: In-office 3 days per week (Mon/Wed/Thu).
- Team Size: HR department of 6
- Reports To: Director of HR
- Step 1: Virtual interview via Teams with the Director of HR.
- Step 2: Onsite interview with HR leadership team.
- Timeline: Flexible scheduling available; role is a top priority hire.
- Start Date: Targeting September 8 or September 15, 2025.
