What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant / Secretary position at Adams & Martin Group?
Essential Functions
- Support approx. 4 attorneys with various requests including maintaining calendars, CLE, reports and time records.
- Preparation/revision of correspondence, and other documents as directed.
- Collaborate with internal departments for opening new client engagements, submitting expenses/check requests, docketing, and other functions.
- Support office staff with e-filing in various courts
- Internal filing of matter related documents using document management system
- Organize and book travel arrangements including flights, hotels, transportation, make changes to reservations as needed.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Three years' experience as a legal administrative assistant or legal secretary in a law firm required, labor & employment and/or litigation practice experience preferred.
- Experience with e-filing with various state and federal courts, and internal document management system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, basic Excel required. Advanced features (TOA/TOC) preferred.
Office Hours: 8am-5pm (Flexible as early as 7:30am and late as 5pm) Employee can decide between a 30minute or 60 minute lunch
