Senior Corporate Attorney | Chicago, IL | Hybrid
Our client, a national Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Attorney to join its growing Chicago transactional practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney who enjoys sophisticated deal work, direct client interaction, and a collaborative environment with a reasonable billable-hour expectation.
Responsibilities
The attorney will advise clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Corporate governance matters
- Operating and organizational agreements
- Commercial and supply agreements
- Joint ventures and other strategic transactions
- General corporate and compliance matters
- Structuring and negotiating business transactions
- Advising clients throughout the transaction lifecycle
The attorney will have meaningful client contact and will be expected to take an active role in negotiating transactions and providing practical, business-focused counsel.
Qualifications
- 6 years of corporate and transactional experience
- Strong M&A and general corporate background
- Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated transaction documents
- Ability to independently manage matters and interact directly with clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Business development experience is a plus
- Active Illinois Bar admission and in good standing
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $225,000-$300,000, depending on experience
- Annual discretionary bonus
