Accounting & Administrative Office Assistant
Location: Englewood, FL
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Our client in Englewood is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Office Assistant to support daily accounting operations, customer service, and office administration. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can confidently balance bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and customer support responsibilities.
Candidates with experience in construction, roofing, contractor, or service-based office environments are highly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative office experience
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Strong computer, spreadsheet, and data entry skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Construction, roofing, or contractor office experience highly preferred
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Process invoices, accounts receivable, and vendor payments
- Assist with accounts payable and general bookkeeping functions
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Prepare warranties, lien releases, proposals, and sales folders
- Audit invoices and assist with job costing
- Maintain inventory records and spreadsheets
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers professionally
- Schedule appointments and coordinate office activities
- Support customer care and referral program initiatives
- Track mileage and expenses using GPS software
- Assist with office organization and marketing support projects
- Utilize QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Office applications daily
