Core Responsibilities

•  Safely operate a bus or van along set routes/schedules.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit (especially students).
• Assist passengers (particularly students) when boarding and exiting.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the bus/van interior.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and transportation regulations at all times.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff — professionally address any concerns during transit.
• Keep accurate records as needed (e.g. rider/ passenger records, incident or maintenance reports) — ability to write reports is listed as a requirement.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for Bus Drivers.
• Proven experience as a bus driver is preferred (or the ability to demonstrate good driving skills safe driving record).
• Ability to manage and supervise children/student passengers: this includes being able to handle passenger behavior effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Clean driving record and ability to maintain safe driving practices.
• Commitment to personal faith and church attendance
