CNC Programmer

Ad-vance Talent Solutions for an opportunity with an established precision manufacturing operation. Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Location: Full-Time

The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming single- and multi-axis CNC machines, interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models, optimizing toolpaths, and ensuring parts are manufactured accurately and efficiently to meet strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Write and troubleshoot G-code, including manual code edits when needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies.
• Run simulations and verify tool paths to prevent errors and machine collisions.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine setup issues.
• Support in-process inspections and ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to improve production efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay current with CNC programming technology and manufacturing best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Mastercam and single- or multi-axis CNC programming.
• Ability to write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, speeds and feeds, and precision measurement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience, particularly with precision components and tight tolerances.
• Experience with 4-axis or 5-axis CNC machining.
• Familiarity with GD&T, first-article inspections, and quality documentation.
• Experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing.
• Mastercam certification or advanced CNC programming training.
