We’re seeking a Construction Estimator with 5 years of experience supporting vertical construction projects across both residential and commercial sectors. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project documents, and supporting preconstruction efforts from concept through final proposal.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for residential and commercial vertical construction projects
- Review drawings, specs, and scope documents to identify materials, quantities, and cost drivers
- Perform quantity takeoffs using industry‑standard software
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor pricing
- Support preconstruction and proposal development with clear, organized cost breakdowns
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to refine budgets and value‑engineering options
Requirements
- 5 years of estimating experience in vertical construction
- Background in residential and commercial building projects
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.)
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, RI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
