What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent - Data Center position at Actalent?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of a hyperscale data center project. This role is ideal for individuals with strong field coordination skills and a passion for delivering high-performance infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-construction planning, including crisis management, site logistics, and safety protocols.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors and suppliers, lead daily huddles, and coordinate job site activities.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to adjust and maintain the project schedule.
- Write RFIs, and track procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific quality control standards.
- Maintain and update on-site documentation and logs.
- Monitor budget alignment and escalate issues to the Project Management team.
- Participate in safety meetings, daily huddles, and Pull-Plan Sessions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Support and promote standard work and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of construction-related experience, preferably on large or complex projects.
- Proven ability to work with subcontractors and manage field operations.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and leadership skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with construction software tools.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and innovative thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data center construction or other mission-critical environments.
- Two- or four-year degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Current OSHA 30 certification.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
