We are seeking a mid-level CAD Designer to support piping and industrial design projects within the oil & gas and related industries. This role is focused on developing 3D models and detailed design deliverables—including P&IDs, isometrics, and piping layouts—using CADWorx and related tools.
The Designer will work closely with engineers and project managers to support multiple concurrent projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of design packages. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong 3D modeling expertise and a solid understanding of industrial design standards and workflows.

Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D piping models using CADWorx, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
- Produce detailed design deliverables, including:
- P&IDs
- Isometric drawings
- Piping layouts
- Civil and structural design drawings
- Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to support design execution and project milestones
- Manage and prioritize work across multiple small-to-mid-sized projects simultaneously
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and client requirements
- Support revisions and updates based on project feedback, field data, and engineering changes
- Contribute to maintaining efficient workflows as project volume increases
Qualifications:
Required:
- 6 years of experience in CAD design/drafting within oil & gas or similar industrial environments (e.g., midstream, mining, water/wastewater)
- Hands-on experience with CADWorx and 3D modeling (not limited to 2D drafting)
- Strong experience creating piping design deliverables (P&IDs, isometrics, layouts)
- Working knowledge of industrial design standards, terminology, and workflows
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience with Civil 3D or additional CAD platforms
- Exposure to civil or structural design components
- Background in contract/project-based environments
- 5–12 years of experience with strong technical depth
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $43.27/hr.
