Job Description
We are seeking a landfill gas technician with 0-1 years of experience in reading and tuning wellfields- or related industry. This position involves performing both routine and non-routine maintenance on a landfill gas system. The ideal candidate will have a highly mechanical background to be trained to tune wellfields and perform pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.
Responsibilities
- Travel to the main site in Sorrento, LA as well as support surrounding landfills.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on landfill gas systems.
- Tune wellfields and perform pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement.
- Read and interpret data from landfill gas systems.
- Migrate data from tablets into cloud system.
Essential Skills
- background in a mechanical or environmental setting.
- Experience in data collection and environmental testing is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in landfill gas systems and relevant software is a plus, but not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certified with an OSHA 40 HR HAZWOPER is a plus.
- ISCO certified in fusion is a plus.
- Experience in environmental fieldwork is a plus.

The role involves working at landfills with a Gas Collection and Control System (GCCS) that leads to a gas-to-energy plant. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
