Job Title: Automation Technician

We are seeking an Automation Technician to play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our manufacturing processes. The focus of the Stoughton facility is on producing sauces, dressings, and cream of wheat, requiring substantial equipment support from an automation perspective. The successful candidate will be responsible for sustaining troubleshooting efforts, programming new equipment and lines, and designing, modifying, and upgrading electrical control systems. This role requires a proactive individual willing to engage in hands-on technical troubleshooting and programming.

Responsibilities

• Sustain troubleshooting efforts for automation equipment.
• Program new equipment and production lines.
• Design, modify, and upgrade electrical control systems.
• Engage in hands-on technical troubleshooting and programming.
• Support the integration of new equipment and processes.

• Expertise in automation and PLC programming.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming HMI systems.
• Experience with commissioning and process equipment.
• Strong controls engineering skills, particularly with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and pneumatics.

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3 years of experience with automated equipment.
• 3 years of experience troubleshooting PLCs.

This position is based in a food manufacturing facility undergoing significant upgrades to its systems. The facility is older, but investments are being made to modernize and enhance operations. The role offers exposure to large capital expenditure projects and opportunities for further education support.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stoughton, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $36.06/hr.
