About the Role A shift Teel Court (7am-3pm)
The Controls Automation Technician is responsible for the design and build of automated equipment controls with accurate documentation (schematics and panel layout.) Work with the engineering department with a specific focus on electrical controls, PLC and robotic integration. Support maintenance department from a machine controls perspective. Identifies repetitive failures and implements controls-based improvement plans with the help of engineering and/or operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Builds, installs and maintains automation equipment.
- Assists Engineering/operations with automated equipment implementation.
- Schedules Maintenance to repair or rebuild equipment that is planned.
- Conducts reactive maintenance to repair unexpected breakdowns.
- Supports existing equipment from a controls perspective.
- Input detailed and accurate data into computerized maintenance management system.
- Maintains housekeeping, safety and environmental to ensure a healthy, clean and safe work environment.
- Additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Completion of Automation Degree program or equivalent required.
- 5 or more years of job experience, or completion of training program combined with experience.
- Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting industrial automation equipment required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- 2 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel as well as associated automation programs and CMMS.
- Occasional travel to vendors, shows, and FAT required.
