Role Summary
Our expanding Bloomington, IL facility is looking for skilled individuals to fill various Metal Fabrication positions. We invite applicants who value meticulous craftsmanship and have a background in metalwork to join our dynamic production team.
Within our high-energy manufacturing setting, you will engage with diverse machinery and technical workflows. We are actively recruiting for positions including Welders, Grinders, CNC Operators, Laser Operators, and Painters.
Core Duties
- Analyze and comprehend technical schematics, blueprints, and project requirements
- Configure and manage fabrication machinery such as CNC units, welding gear, plasma cutters, grinders, and spot welders
- Ensure material dimensions and shapes meet exact project requirements
- Join metal parts through welding or alternative fastening methods to help create high-quality finished assemblies
- Verify that completed items meet all established quality benchmarks and precision standards
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the workspace tidy and following safety protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance production workflows and overall operational efficiency
- Support the team by providing guidance and training to newer staff members
Required Skills and Experience
- At least one year of professional experience within metal fabrication or a comparable industry
- Proficiency in analyzing and understanding technical drawings and blueprints
- Solid understanding of various welding techniques and standard fabrication tools
- Exceptional focus on detail and a strong ability to resolve technical issues
- Capacity to perform tasks autonomously while also contributing effectively to group goals
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities and a collaborative, upbeat mindset
- Completion of high school or equivalent education; professional trade credentials are considered an advantage
