Fabrication Welder II

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Welder to join our agricultural parts manufacturing team. This position fabricates and welds agricultural machinery parts and components using robotic and manual welding equipment. The ideal candidate can read blueprints, accurately measure and fit components, and consistently produce quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set up and operate equipment including punch press, hand brakes, tube roller, cutting torch, MIG welder, and spot welder.
• Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Determine reference points, hole locations, material requirements, and task sequences.
• Measure, lay out, position, align, fit, deburr, tack-weld, and weld parts and assemblies.
• Use machinery to balance augers.
• Verify workpieces meet specifications using squares, rulers, measuring tapes, and other measuring tools.
• Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, proper fit, and weld integrity.
• Identify and correct welding or fabrication issues and perform rework as needed.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and proper condition.
• Follow production schedules, quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Communicate production, quality, equipment, or material concerns to the Fabrication Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 5 - 6 years of welding or fabrication experience in manufacturing, agricultural equipment, industrial, or similar environments preferred.
• Experience with MIG and robotic welding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, and weld symbols.
• Working knowledge of welding, fabrication, fitting, and metal preparation.
• Ability to accurately measure and inspect parts.
• Experience with punch presses, hand brakes, tube rollers, cutting torches, and spot welders is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
