Role Description The Fabrication Welder is a full-time, on-site role based in Salina, KS. In this position, the team member fabricates and welds metal components and assemblies used in manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure, following engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting materials, setting up and operating welding and metal fabrication equipment, and performing MIG/TIG or other welding processes to meet quality standards. The role involves inspecting finished welds for accuracy and structural integrity, performing basic repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment, and collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to support safe and efficient operations. The Fabrication Welder is also expected to follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and complete documentation related to work orders and inspections.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick) and metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications, and apply accurate measurements and layout techniques.
- Experience using fabrication and shop equipment such as welders, cutting torches, saws, drills, and hand tools in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to welding, fabrication, and material handling, with commitment to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail for diagnosing fabrication issues and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training, welding certifications, or vocational education in metal fabrication is preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in an industrial environment with appropriate protective equipment.
