Our client is a French bank. They seek a HR Coordinator/Generalist to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollments and disenrollments for new hires, current employees, and terminations
- Oversee COBRA administration and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Administer various leaves of absence, including FMLA, NYS PFL, and NYS DBL
- Maintain employee data and personnel records in compliance with company policies, department procedures, and government regulations
- Operate and maintain the employee attendance tracking system
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and HR policies and procedures
- Prepare new hire and exit documentation packages and conduct I-9 verification with accurate recordkeeping
- Coordinate background checks with external vendors and support visa processing with Head Office and external providers
- Process semi-monthly payroll and perform reconciliations of payroll and benefits-related accounts, including invoice review and payment preparation
- Generate reports (Excel, ADP) and provide administrative support to the HR department, including database updates and backup assistance as needed
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in all phases of human resources administration
- Open to industry
- Tact, clear, and professional self-expression
- Proficient in benefits administration and related regulatory requirements
- Proficient in federal, state, and city employment regulations
- Working knowledge of payroll administration and standard HR policies and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Workday
- ADP experience is a plus
- French-speaking is a plus
