Our client is a real estate firm. They seek a Bookkeeper to join their Secaucus, NJ office.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day (AP) and (AR)
- Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations
- Post and record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger
- Prepare and review sales reports and related financial summaries
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and support compliance tasks
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc accounting and finance projects
- Assist in streamlining and improving accounting systems and processes
Requirements
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Open to industry
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Excel
