Our client is an asset management company. They seek a VP, Corporate Controller to join their Dallas, TX office. This opportunity offers a hybrid schedule and competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop quarterly budgets and calculate distributable cash to support financial planning and reporting
- Authorize wires related to AP, capital calls, and distributions while ensuring accuracy and proper controls
- Analyze general ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, and quarterly consolidations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Administer expense report payments, subscription billings, and related cash transactions within the banking system
- Guide and mentor the Accounting Manager and corporate accountants to strengthen team capabilities and performance
- Manage cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity for expenses, investments, and fund operations
- Implement system enhancements and automation initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert in NetSuite and StavPay
- Oversee annual audits from engagement through report completion, including review of audit reports and representation letters
- Handle CP co-investments, capital calls, and distribution processes, including monthly data entry, reporting, and partner correspondence
- Administer the CPRE Profit Interest Program, managing grants, distributions, calculations, reporting, and related journal entries
Requirements
- 10 years of accounting experience
- Fund management or real estate industry required
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Excellent leadership skills
- CPA required
