Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial software, and industry standards. This role involves managing various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with GAAP, and timely reporting. The Bookkeeper will support both corporate and non-profit accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial data and assisting with audits and reconciliations.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and other relevant documentation
- Handle payroll processing and tax-related activities in compliance with applicable regulations
- Assist with governmental accounting procedures and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records
- Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and preparing relevant reports
- Ensure proper documentation of all transactions through detailed journal entries and account analysis
- Conduct periodic account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Experience
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities include greeting clients, managing calls and emails, and maintaining organized digital and physical filing systems.
Basic knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Pay: $15.95 - $17.95 per hour
