Our client is a family office. They seek a AP Bookkeeper to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment processing
- Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure proper GL coding and supporting documentation
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate backup and approvals
- Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, respond to inquiries, and manage payment status
- Assist with month-end close activities related to AP and cash accounts
- Support the accounting team with ad hoc tasks, reporting, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting procedures
Requirements
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Real estate experience highly preferred
- AP and bookkeeping experience required
- Familiarity or experience with property management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- QuickBooks experience is a plus
- Excel experience required
