Hotel Revenue Manager
Location: New Orleans, LA Department: Revenue Management Reports to: General Manager
Job Summary
The Hotel Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing hotel profitability by strategically managing rates, inventory, and demand across distribution channels. This role analyzes market trends, monitors performance metrics, and implements revenue-enhancing initiatives to achieve optimal business mix and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement pricing strategies based on demand forecasts and competitive analysis
- Monitor and adjust inventory and rates across all booking platforms to optimize occupancy and revenue
- Analyze performance data (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, etc.) and prepare detailed revenue reports
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align promotional activities with revenue goals
- Conduct regular rate shops and competitive benchmarking
- Manage relationships with OTA partners and third-party vendors to improve profitability
- Review group and corporate proposals to ensure they meet strategic revenue objectives
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning meetings
- Stay up to date with market trends, consumer behavior, and hospitality tech developments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3 years of revenue management experience, preferably in the hotel industry
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proficient in revenue management systems (e.g., IDeaS, Duetto, or similar), PMS, and Excel
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Preferred
- Experience with multi-property revenue management or cluster oversight
- Familiarity with brand standards and corporate reporting tools
- Certification in revenue management or hospitality analytics (e.g., CRME, CHIA)
