This hybrid role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution. The Hotel Director of Sales & Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the sales team, and developing client relationships across all market segments. The ideal candidate is both a visionary leader and a tactical executor, capable of setting high-level goals while actively engaging in day-to-day sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

·        Strategic Planning & Execution

o   Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue

o   Forecast annual sales targets and monitor performance metrics

o   Collaborate with marketing and revenue management to align campaigns and pricing

·        Team Leadership & Development

o   Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals

o   Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for improvement

o   Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence

·        Client Relationship Management

o   Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and group organizers

o   Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure profitability and client satisfaction

o   Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions

·        Sales Operations

o   Oversee daily sales activities including lead generation, proposal development, and closing deals

o   Manage key accounts and ensure consistent follow-up and retention

o   Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities

·        Reporting & Analysis

o   Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports

o   Use data to refine strategies and improve conversion rates

o   Monitor budget and control expenses to optimize ROI

Qualifications

·        5 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

·        Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

·        Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

·        Proficiency in hotel CRM and sales software (e.g., OPERA, Salesforce)

Work Environment & Reporting

·        Reports directly to the General Manager

·        Works closely with Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations teams

·        May require travel for client meetings and industry events
