Financial Accounting Manager

Overview of Role

ZwitterCo is seeking an experienced, energetic Accounting Manager / Controller with manufacturing experience who wants to contribute to our Finance Team as we continue to grow and scale. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliation, and preparing financial statements for management and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leaders within and across the organization to perform the role of a trusted financial business partner. This role is an individual contributor and manager role reporting directly to the CFO. They are expected to bring excellent analysis and value-add support by exemplifying creativity and enthusiasm to the role, while drawing on past experiences.

Responsibilities include

Perform the role of a financial business partner to the organization by leading day to day as well as monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting efforts for the company.

• Lead efforts in providing accurate and timely financial reporting on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and cash flow with actual to historical analysis
• Maintain and enhance financial controls and procedures for areas of the company
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
• Actively partner with Management and other staff from the organization to refine or help establish effective processes and tools to better support their fiscal management. Identify trends that may signal risks and/or opportunities and provide relevant recommendations.
• Exhibit superior verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate the ability to take initiative, help define better processes, and prioritize time to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

• Education – bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• CPA preferred
• 5 yrs. of relevant financial analysis, financial accounting skills and business partnering

Desired Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience working in Netsuite is essential
• Prior experience in divisional or corporate FP&A preferred, including working with outside vendors
• Working knowledge of ASC 606
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Self-starter with the ability to self-motivate in a deadline driven environment
• Direct experience with copious amounts of data and ability to multi-task
• Strong drive for results, ability to manage ambiguity in cross-functional team dynamic

Schedule, Travel, Compensation, and Location
This is a full-time position in Woburn, MA and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Travel for this role is expected to be between 0% - 5%.
